Hello! Thank you for being here.
This feels like it’s been a long time coming. I’ve always been attracted to long-form writing but wasn’t sure what I had to offer, that existing bloggers or recipe writers didn’t already have out there (I still wonder). Just the idea of having something real felt daunting. Is anyone going to read it?, intimidation, self-doubt, you get the gist.
I used to call myself a perfectionist, but I realise that if enough time passes by, perfectionism becomes more of a tool for procrastination than one that constantly motivates you to try harder. It’s something I’ve been trying to come to terms with, so here’s another step in that direction.
Somehow a newsletter feels cosier, less out there. This is an attempt to take myself less seriously. Somewhere I know I bring something to the table (literally), and perhaps eventually it will be interesting enough to grab your attention.

My name is Annoushka. I live in Paris, and work in the pastry/ viennoiserie sector. Happy to have you here!
Expect to find recipes, experiments with food, personal scribbles, travel stories (old and new), food and culture recommendations in Paris and elsewhere, among other things. I’m not sure where exactly I intend to go with this, but I’m excited!
